Oakland Raiders v. Denver Broncos
Pick: Broncos -11.5 at -110 (5Dimes)
I feel sorry for the Raiders, as Manning and the Broncos will be out to draw blood, following the loss to the Patriots. The Broncos have owned the Raiders since Manning came to Denver. Oakland’s last ranked rushing attack will be up against the Broncos top ranked run defense. The Broncos will win by at least two TD’s.
Kansas City Chiefs v. Buffalo Bills
Pick: Chiefs -1.5 at -110 (5Dimes)
I liked this pick before Sammy Watkins’ injury concern, and I like it even more now. These two teams are similar defensively, but the edge goes to the Chiefs on offense. I don’t trust the Bills offense, whether Watkins plays or not – and they are in for a long day against the Chiefs top ranked pass defense. Buffalo are starting their third and fourth stringers at RB. Chiefs also have the edge on special teams. It may be close, but I like the Chiefs to continue their win streak today.
Tennessee Titans v. Baltimore Ravens
Pick: Ravens -9.5 at -110 (5Dimes)
This may be a chalky pick, but the Ravens have absolutely crushed bad teams this year. In fact, they are 33-8 against teams with losing records, since Harbaugh took over as coach in 2008. I especially like the fact that the Ravens are coming off a loss. The Titans have lost six of their last seven, and have only covered one game ATS all season. Ravens cruise today.
Pittsburgh Steelers v. New York Jets
Pick: Steelers -4 at -110 (5Dimes)
I don’t care what anybody says here, I just can’t see how anyone can justify taking the Jets. These Jets are not like the Rex Ryan teams of past, they are horrible. They have the worst ATS record in the NFL, and they barely beat the Raiders in the first game. They always play the Patriots close, so don’t let that fool you. Both Geno Smith and Michael Vick are prone to turning the ball over. They have a decent running game, but that is all – and Pittsburgh’s 11th ranked run defense will negate that. The Steelers may have lost to the Bucs and barely beat the Jags, but they have gotten better as the season has progressed. Big Ben is on a tear, and must be considered as a legitimate MVP candidate at this point. I’m not buying the whole this is a “bad spot” for Pittsburgh talk. Steelers win and cover today.
Chicago Bears v. Green Bay Packers
Pick: Packers -7 at -120 (5Dimes)
The Packers absolutely crushed the Bears in Chicago earlier this season, and I don’t see that changing this time around. Jay Cutler has only beaten the Packers once in ten tries as a Bear. Chicago has only won one of their last five, and that was against the lowly Falcons. The Packers 9th ranked pass defense will trump Chicago’s passing game. This is the perfect time of year for football at Lambeau Field, where the Packers are nearly unbeatable. The Packers roll on Sunday night.
